Person During Obama’s Speech Yells “Liar”
Someone during President Obama’s speech yelled “Lie” or “That’s a lie” when the President said his health care reform would not apply to illegal immigrants. I think it might have been Rep. Joe Wilson (R-SC). The President was not telling the truth through most of that speech so it was inevitable that someone would call him on it. Here is the video.
I think Nancy Pelosi’s expression is priceless. Her jaw dropped when she heard “LIE”.
Update — Hot Air has confirmed that it was Rep. Joe Wilson from South Carolina who yelled “Lie” at the President.

Pretty funny, wasn’t it? Obama got a rather stern look on his face as well.

It temporarily broke Obama out of his teleprompter routine. I think the President should be shown a high level of respect even if you disagree with him but people can only take so much when almost every word coming out of his mouth is twisting the truth, a half truth, or a lie.

While I agree that the representative was disrespectful and it was not the time nor place for such behavior, it’s ironic that he said exactly what the President said, but in a different tone. The President called those who disagree with his plan liars, and he accused them of twisting the truth. He also threatened to ‘call them out’, whatever that means. Since I disagree with his plan, I felt personally insulted. He forgets that WE CAN READ THE PLAN! Does he now know this?
