Neil Cavuto interviewed Kari Koch, a spokesperson for the Occupy Portland protest that shut down the port of Portland on Monday. Cavuto is able to show the idiocy of the occupy movement while interviewing embarrassing Ms. Koch. He continually asks her about the longshoreman she has put out of work for the day and the people who are trying to buy Christmas gifts for loved one and how her actions will slow up the delivery of those Christmas gifts. All she can do is repeat lines about the 1% and Goldman Sachs like a broken record!
These occupy people seem so brainwashed and incapable of thinking for themselves. Several times throughout the interview, Cavuto asked her about the average working class people she was hurting with her actions and she was incapable of seeing how anyone other than the 1% were being harmed by the actions of her and her group.
Seriously, it’s not hard to see how shutting down a port and causing employees to miss a day of work, and backlogging merchandise that is going to businesses that employ people and need to sell said merchandise in order to provide paychecks for their merchandise is going to hurt working class people. In fact, I’m willing to bet that Occupy Portland’s actions have hurt the 99% much more than the 1%. According to an official from the Port of Portland–
“Hundreds of workers were impacted by the protest activities yesterday, including approximately 325 longshore workers, 200 truckers, and a number of other individuals relating to tenant operations at Terminals 4, 5 and 6. For many of these workers, it meant a day without pay,” said spokesman Josh Thomas.
We know that Occupy Portland’s protest hurt members of the 99%, but was anyone in the 1% hurt by yesterdays actions?
