I previously posted a video of a New Jersey elementary school where students where taught to sing songs praising President Obama.  It appears it was not an isolated incident.  Eleven more videos of young children being taught to sing praises to the President have surfaced.  Our kids are not allowed to sing religious themed Christmas carols, but teachers are allowed to push their own political agenda and indoctrinate our kids.  Is this the change Obama promised?  Here is the video and lyrics from one of the schools–

If you would like to see the rest of vomit inducing videos, they are at Big Hollywood.  Should these teachers be reprimanded for this behavior?  What would the response be if we had a conservative president in office and kids in our public schools were being taught to sing his praises?

This video is unbelievable.  Kids in a New Jersey school were taught two songs that praise President Obama.  This made me sick to my stomach.  Children should be taught how to be critical thinkers, not chanting some teacher’s view of the President.  But then again, the Teachers Union is basically a wing of the Democrat party, so maybe this is to be expected!

Up until now, I haven’t mentioned anything about the President’s upcoming speech to our school children.  This is mostly because I have not fully decided what side of the issue I’m on.  While I am totally against Obama using this opportunity to indoctrinate our kids, or push his agenda, I can’t say that I think it is absolutely wrong for the President to give a speech targeted to students.  I personally disagree with practically all of Obama’s policies, but elections do have consequences and one of those consequences is having to watch him give speeches to schools.  Bush Sr. did it on a national scale, just like Obama plans to do, and many other Presidents have spoken to schools in person.  But there does seem to be a different feel about it with Obama.  Maybe he will give a speech about the importance of education and tell our kids to study hard and do their homework.  I don’t think there would be anything intrinsically wrong with this.  On the other hand, he may make political statements contrary to the beliefs and values of parents.  This would be wrong and would definitely cause an uproar.  We’ll have to wait and see which path Obama takes.
