Tea Party Protesters are Violent Racists

The main stream media and many liberal politicians have been accusing those who protest Obama as being racists.  Evidently, opposing big government is a race issue.  Now, it seems that the protesters may also be violent.

In her weekly press briefing, Nancy Pelosi warned of possible violence by people protesting health reform and other big government policies.  According to the Washington Post she said,

I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw this, myself, in the late ’70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening, and it created a climate in which violence took place.

So I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made, so that understanding that some of the people — the ears that it is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume.

So, Pelosi thinks “this kind of rhetoric” can create a climate in which violence may take place.  What rhetoric is she talking about?  Is it the clever signs the tea party protesters are coming up with?  The ones with slogans like “Cap government and trade Congress”?

Where was Pelosi during the Bush years when the rhetoric actually was violent?  Why didn’t she make a statement about how frightened she was of the protesters then?  Why don’t we compare some of the people who protested Bush and some of the ones currently protesting Obama?

Here are some pictures of tea party protesters from all over the country.  These are the people who are being accused of racism and violent language—

Jimmy Carter Thinks I’m a Racist

Jimmy Carter recently said an “overwhelming portion” of those who disagree with Obama are racists. So, if by “overwhelming portion” he means a majority, then there is a good statistical chance that he thinks I’m a racist. What is he basing this claim on? According to an interview with Brian Williams, he basis this claim on the fact that some people in this country are still racist, therefore an overwhelming portion of those who protest against Obama are racists. I know it doesn’t follow logically, but it seems many other liberals are saying similar things these days. I have always been a proponent of limited government and a strict adherence to the Constitution, but now those beliefs somehow make me a racist in the eyes of many liberals.  Why?

I thought Obama was supposed to transcend race? Why are his supporters bringing it up at every turn when there is no evidence of racism?

In the beginning of this video, notice how Brian Williams says that many of the signs carried by protesters had racial themes. In your opinion, are any of the signs shown racist? The only one I think could possibly be taken as racist is

Obama accepts Rep. Joe Wilson’s Apology, Makes an Example of It

Rep. Joe Wilson yelled, “You Lie” during President Obama’s speech to a joint session of Congress.  While this may have been funny to most of us, it was a little disrespectful to the office of the President, and Rep. Joe Wilson immediately apologized after the speech.  President Obama has accepted the apology from Rep. Wilson, but he has chosen to try and make an example of the situation.  According to Jake Tapper,

After what he called an “excellent and informative Cabinet meeting,” President Obama told reporters that he accepts the apology of Rep. Joe Wilson, R-SC, who shouted “You lie!” during the president’s address to a joint session of Congress last night.

“Yes I do,” the president said. “I’m a big believer that we all make mistakes. He apologized quickly and without equivocation. And I’m appreciative of that.”

Mr. Obama then turned to use Wilson as something of an example – making this a teachable moment, perhaps – saying that “we have to get to the point where we can have a conversation about big, important issues that matter to the American people without vitriol, without name-calling without the assumption of the worst in other people’s motives.”

Obviously, Obama is trying to use Rep. Wilson to support the liberal idea that anyone who speaks out against the health care bill is being illogical and mean. What I find startling about this is that Obamacare supporters are in fact the ones who have been vitriolic, calling people names and trying to discredit anyone that disagrees with them.  Obama’s supporters have called people racists, Nazis, mobsters, brown shirts political terrorists, and evil mongers.  Aren’t these vitriolic insults?

Obama himself has told people who disagree with him to shut up and get out of his way.  He has also said, “if they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun.”  Does this type of language help us “get to the point where we can have a conversation about big, important issues that matter to the American people”?  Rep. Wilson may have been in the wrong by letting his emotions momentarily get the best of him, and he promptly apologized for it.  Have Obama and his supporters apologized for all the insults they have recently hurled at conservatives?  Maybe Obama should start looking at himself and his own party if he really wants to stop all the vitriol and name calling.

Another Scripted Q&A at an Obama Town Hall

If you watched Obama’s town hall meeting in New Hampshire, I’m sure you saw little Julia Hall ask the President a question.

We can all agree that this young girl was cute and gave Obama a perfect setup to talk about those who have been protesting the health care bill. However, it seems that she was a plant.  This is a pattern starting to

Proof That Some People are Being Paid to Show up at Town Halls

Caleb Howe, from redstate.com, has uncovered evidence of people being paid to get involved in the health care debate.  At last, we have evidence that some of the protesters are truly astroturf.  Unfortunately for Obama and the Democrats, the evidence shows that people are being paid to support ObamaCare, not protest against it.  Here is what Mr. Howe found.

Why are some in the mainstream media repeating the Democrat lie that people against the health care bill are just paid agitators?  All of the evidence shows that the ones being paid are pro-health care reform.  Why isn’t this big news yet?  Pelosi and other Democrats are alleging (without any evidence) that conservative groups are paying people to show up at town halls, while at the same time, several liberal groups are openly paying people to show up in support of health care reform!  The hypocricy just keeps growing.

Dissent is Patriotic, Unless You are a Conservative

dissentIn my last post I touched on how Americans are rising up and making their voices heard about their anger towards the current direction our government is going.  However, it seems that Obama and the Democrats don’t think this anger is for real.  They can’t fathom that maybe a majority of Americans don’t want government run health care, government ownership of banks, government ownership of car companies, and a nearly two trillion dollar deficit.  They (Obama and the Dems) refuse to consider that maybe a majority of Americans are no longer under the spell of Hope and Change and are starting to wake up.

The DNC communications director, Brad Woodhouse, issued a statement regarding the protesters.  According to Woodhouse and the DNC, “The Republicans and their allied groups, desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill … are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country.”  Rabid right wing extremists?!?  Was the soldier I showed in my last post, who gave his Congresswoman a Constitutional law lesson, acting like a rabid extremist?  No, of course not.  He was
