When Obama won the 2008 election we heard that he had transcended race. A black man had been elected president and the highest of glass ceilings had been broken. Race, it seemed, was no longer a major issue in our country. A new era had been ushered in. What the heck happened? It seems like people are being called racists by a myriad of public figures on a daily basis. Why isn’t anyone talking about all that transcending race stuff anymore?
Racism seems to have been redefined in recent months. It no longer means judging someone by the color of their skin. It now means disagreeing with Obama and the Democrats. If you support Obama you are a virtuous, enlightened, knowledgeable soul. If you disagree with him, you are a racist, Nazi, brown shirt, member of a mob, and (insert your favorite liberal insult here).
Poor Arlen Specter. He just keeps getting yelled at. In a previous post, I showed a video where Specter was holding a town hall and was shouted at. It has happened to him again, but this time after being yelled at, he claims he is encouraging Constitutional rights. Really? I can’t think of any of the rights listed in the Constitution that he is encouraging by supporting the Democrat/Obama agenda.
Nowhere in the Constitution is Congress given the authority to control our health care. Article 1, section 8 lists all the powers of Congress. Health care is simply not there. This means,
In my last post I touched on how Americans are rising upand making their voices heard about their anger towards the current direction our government is going. However, it seems that Obama and the Democrats don’t think this anger is for real. They can’t fathom that maybe a majority of Americans don’t want government run health care, government ownership of banks, government ownership of car companies, and a nearly two trillion dollar deficit. They (Obama and the Dems) refuse to consider that maybe a majority of Americans are no longer under the spell of Hope and Change and are starting to wake up.
The DNC communications director, Brad Woodhouse, issued a statement regarding the protesters. According to Woodhouse and the DNC, “The Republicans and their allied groups, desperate after losing two consecutive elections and every major policy fight on Capitol Hill … are inciting angry mobs of a small number of rabid right wing extremists funded by K Street Lobbyists to disrupt thoughtful discussions about the future of health care in America taking place in Congressional Districts across the country.” Rabid right wing extremists?!? Was the soldier I showed in my last post, who gave his Congresswoman a Constitutional law lesson, acting like a rabid extremist? No, of course not. He was
