The main stream media and many liberal politicians have been accusing those who protest Obama as being racists.  Evidently, opposing big government is a race issue.  Now, it seems that the protesters may also be violent.

In her weekly press briefing, Nancy Pelosi warned of possible violence by people protesting health reform and other big government policies.  According to the Washington Post she said,

I have concerns about some of the language that is being used because I saw this, myself, in the late ’70s in San Francisco. This kind of rhetoric was very frightening, and it created a climate in which violence took place.

So I wish that we would all, again, curb our enthusiasm in some of the statements that are made, so that understanding that some of the people — the ears that it is falling on are not as balanced as the person making the statement might assume.

So, Pelosi thinks “this kind of rhetoric” can create a climate in which violence may take place.  What rhetoric is she talking about?  Is it the clever signs the tea party protesters are coming up with?  The ones with slogans like “Cap government and trade Congress”?

Where was Pelosi during the Bush years when the rhetoric actually was violent?  Why didn’t she make a statement about how frightened she was of the protesters then?  Why don’t we compare some of the people who protested Bush and some of the ones currently protesting Obama?

Here are some pictures of tea party protesters from all over the country.  These are the people who are being accused of racism and violent language—

Do any of theses people seem violent?  Are they holding signs with “Death to Obama” on them?  Did you notice how some of the tea party protesters are black?  Isn’t that weird since the Democrats keep calling all of them racists?  Why would black people hang out in a crowd of racists?

Now, lets look at some of the protester that Pelosi never seemed afraid of.

Why would Pelosi speak out against the tea party protesters and their risk of inciting violence when she never said anything about the people who protested Bush?  Why is the media not picking up on this obvious double standard?

I guess you heard about the secret increased funding for social programs. Lou Dobbs had a report on it last night on CNN. The Food Stamp Program and other related social programs exist in the Federal budget as individual line items rather than as a lump sum like health care reform or the stimulus package—making it much harder track what’s really happening with them. It was my understanding from Lou’s report that it consists of about 3,000 separate line items all togther. Apparently, CNN had some of their staff go through the budget, find each line item, and add them all up. After doing so, they discovered that the Obama budget has a total increase in funding for these collected social programs that amounts to an extra $300 billion dollars per year over past budget years. So, you can tack that on to whatever else you are concerned about these days. $300 billion more dollars tacked on in secret on top of everything else. Wow!!!

wow Charles – if you’re right, and CNN actually did investigative journalism for a change, the ‘wealth’ of your paycheck and mine is truly being redistributed, just as Obama promised.
