A new song is making it’s way through conservative circles via email and YouTube. It’s called When You’re Holding a Hammer (Everything Looks Like a Nail). The song is critical of the Health Care bill, the backroom deals and schemes, and the Obama administration in general. Unfortunately, like anything that is critical of Obama, it is considered racist by some and the co-writer of the song, Bryan Glover, lost his job as an assistant coach at a high school football team presumably because of the song’s racist theme and political incorrectness. After finishing the song, he sent it out through email. Some of the recipients were parents of students at his school.
“An hour-and-a-half after sending out the e-mail, I got the phone call from the head coach saying that he had had complaints from parents; he was told to fire me,” the former coach accounts.
He notes that he was surprised by the allegations against him.
“When the coach first called me, he said his phone was blown up with parents saying that I was being politically incorrect — quote, unquote — if you will, and that some of them were even reading into racial overtones in the song,” Glover explains.
Listen to the song yourself and see if you can find anything racist about it. Of course, if this assistant coach had taught the students to sing songs praising President Obama like this song or this song, everything would be fine. Double standard?

How true!!! This man who wrote this song and believes in freedom is the kind of man we should want teaching our children.
Nothing at all racist in the song, just an excuse to try and keep someone that speaks out against Obama and his crew silent.

As a republican we need to take control of our government and get our personal freedoms back.
